Early season, the Spanish Red Deer are roaring and herding the females, stalking and hunting from blinds is the way to go. Its a little too hot for the Spanish Ibex, even for the Beceite and Gredos Ibex, and no doubt for the south eastern and Ronda Ibex in the south. They are all hiding in the shaded valleys.
The hunters of September hunt Spanish red Deer, Mouflon Sheep, or Fallow Deer. One of the most elusive of the early fall species is the Wild Boar, or Russian Boar as they call it.
We were very lucky and hunted a huge male, that came into the blind very early in the afternoon. And a massive body, with 270 lbs.
Congratulations to our friend Isabel.
